<p>The primary challenge in learning transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) lies in transforming the two-dimensional echocardiographic image into a visualization of the three-dimensional (3D) structure of the heart. An application has been developed to aid in the instruction and comprehension of cardiac function assessment through TEE.</p>
<p>Users are provided with access to TEE recordings showcasing the 20 standard diagnostic views, each coupled with a corresponding 3D model illustrating the heart, TEE probe, and ultrasound plane. Navigating through the TEE views can be done by selecting them from a menu on the screen's left side or by utilizing arrow buttons to move to the next or previous view in the sequence. Subsequently, users have the ability to rotate the 3D heart model, the probe, and the ultrasound plane horizontally or vertically for a comprehensive view from any perspective. Furthermore, users can partially eliminate the heart segment above the echo plane, aligning the heart model so that its structures correspond to those seen in the TEE image.</p>
